Task force intercepts heroin on Ohio 104

CHILLICOTHE - The U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force intercepted 10 grams of suspected heroin on its way from Columbus to Waverly.
According to the Ross County Sheriff's Office, the task force acted on information that heroin was being trafficked and stopped the suspected vehicle about 1 p.m. Thursday on Ohio 104 in Ross County.
A Chillicothe police K9 sniffed the vehicle and alerted, leading to a search and the discovery of the suspected heroin, according to the sheriff's office. Two of the four people in the vehicle were arrested. Sara Manns, 23, from Portsmouth, was charged with possession of heroin and tampering with evidence, while Jeremy Hill, 37, of Piketon, was arrested on a parole violation and charged with driving under suspension.
