Mona Lisa will make you smile

Mona Lisa is a 10-year-old pomeranian. She is currently the most relaxed dog at the Licking County Humane Society. Mona Lisa was part of a recent humane agent investigation, in which eight dogs were surrendered to LCHS. She has lived most her life in an outdoor kennel, with little food and water.

Despite her difficult life, Mona Lisa is as sweet as can be. She enjoys napping, going on short walks and receiving lots of love from humans and other dogs. She does well with dogs her age, but has some trouble keeping up with dogs who are younger or more rambunctious than she is. Cats would also make excellent friends for Mona, as she acts much like a cat. Overall, Mona would make a great lap dog for a quiet home. Because she is a senior animal, life with a senior family would be ideal for her.

Canine adoption fees are $170 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. The fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, first set of vaccinations (Bordetella, DHPP, & Rabies) microchip, deworming, 30 days Shelter Care insurance and a starter bag of food. Unaltered canines require an additional $50 deposit which can be refunded after they are taken to their spay/neuter appointment. Please stop by the shelter and fill out an adoption questionnaire to adopt.

Be a permanent part of the new shelter by donating a commemorative brick, tile or tree to remember a loved one or a cherished pet. More information and purchasing opportunities can be found at lchspets.org.
