Relay For Life kickoff is Thursday

CHILLICOTHE - The 2017 Ross County Relay For Life will conduct its open house kickoff from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Hall on West Main Street.

During the kickoff for the team event to fight cancer, visitors will have the chance to meet members of the Relay For Life committee, learn about some of the activities that will take place during this summer’s event, register as a team, survivor or individual participant, register to win a free tent for the event, fill out a survey that will aid in future decisions and enter a drawing to win a Relay For Life Yeti tumbler.

Organizers are still looking for teams, participants, survivors, caregivers, youth groups and committee members that would like to be part of the nonprofit event to raise money in pursuit of a cure for cancer. There will be information at the kickoff on various programs of the American Cancer Society and what has been accomplished over the last 20 years of the local Relay event.
