Reader outraged at Kuhn’s ‘slap on the wrist’

Ohio

I am writing in response to the recent news of the conviction of Whitney Kuhn on charges of complicity to aggravated robbery and complicity to aggravated burglary.

What a shame that our system let us down regarding this matter. I do not understand how such an evil person as Whitney Kuhn can get by with such a horrific act with only a slap on the wrist. Because of her, Ted Timmons lost his life.

I do not understand how she admitted that she knowingly set him up to be murdered (for no reason other than her financial gain) and can receive a 5-year sentence for doing so.

Our community is no longer safe because of people like her. She is a menace to society and will be walking the streets a free person in a few short years. Judge Mike Ater state he has very little sympathy for her. I have none. My sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Ted Timmons.

I understand how the plea system works, and look forward to the day of the sentencing of Jesse Hanes and James Nelson on the charges they will face. I will never be convinced that Assistant Prosecutor Jeff Marks did the right thing for our community.

Shame on a system that no longer protects law abiding citizens in their own homes and allows people like Kuhn peace of mind and future freedom. Her level of remorse is obvious to the true friends and family of Ted Timmons.

I write this letter on Christmas Eve and remember all the Christmases I spent with the dear friend I lost. I cherish those memories of Ted and always will. Whitney Kuhn was no friend of Ted Timmons.
