CHILLICOTHE — One person was taken to a Columbus hospital Monday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash on Egypt Pike near Bowdle Road.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Corrina L. Gilmore, 50, of Chillicothe, was eastbound on Egypt Pike about 2:20 p.m. when she drove her 2003 Jeep Liberty off the right side of the road. She overcorrected, went off the left side of the road and overturned the vehicle several times.

Gilmore was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown into the passenger compartment of the vehicle. She was transported by Union Township EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center and later flown to Grant Medical Center by Med Flight with non-life threatening injuries.

The patrol is investigating other factors that may have contributed to the crash.
