Bainbridge man killed in Pike County crash

WAVERLY - A Ross County man was killed after being partially ejected from a vehicle in a crash Saturday morning.

The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the single-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:57 a.m. on Morgans Fork Road in Pike County.

Donald E. Leeth, 54, of Bainbridge, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Impala south on Morgan’s Fork Road when he went off the right side of the road, struck a culvert and a couple of trees, according to a release from the patrol.

Leeth was partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt, according to the release.

The crash remains under investigation. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Pike County EMS and Benton Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
