Furry Friend of the Week - Corky

Corky is a tan and white, 8-year-old beagle. He came to the Licking County Humane Society because his family no longer had the time or funds to take care of him. He had hair loss due to fleas and an infection in both ears. Corky is now good as new and happier than ever after flea treatment and antibiotics.

He is definitely a couch potato, wanting to relax on his bed all day. However, he also loves to walk at a casual pace and rarely pulls on the leash. Because Corky gets along well with kids and other dogs, he would be an excellent fit for a growing family. His relaxed temperament makes him a good match for a senior home as well.

Adult canine adoption fees are $170. Puppy (under 6 months of age) adoption fees are $200. This adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heart-worm test, first set of vaccinations including rabies and bordetella, microchip, de-worming, 30 days Shelter Care insurance and starter bag of food. Unaltered canines require an additional $50 deposit, which will be refunded after they are taken to their spay/neuter appointment.

Be a permanent part of the new shelter by donating a commemorative brick, tile, walking path memorial or bench to remember a loved one or a cherished pet.
