Baptist church holding tent revival

• Washington Township Baptist Church will sponsor a two-night-tent-revival Tuesday and Wednesday at Gaumer Park in Adamsville. There will be a free meal at the Adamsville Community Building each evening at 5:30 p.m. Music and preaching will start at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Mark Herbster. Free child-care, including a puppet show, will be available for infants through 10 years of age at the community building during the event.

Mitchells’ anniversary

•An open house for the 50th wedding anniversary of Clarence “Bud” and Beverly Bowden Mitchell will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Roger’s Auction Barn on Knicely Road. No gifts. They were married Sept. 2, 1966, in Philo, by the Rev. Bruce Kreis. Cards can be sent to them at 8805 Norfield Road, Zanesville.

Mower clippings

•Adamsville Village Council is asking residents to refrain from through mower clippings over curbs and into the streets. It is considered unsightly and hinders water from entering storm drains.
