Three ace 16th at Green Valley

Three local golfers hit holes-in-one on No. 16 at Green Valley recently.

Za Northrup, of Zanesville, used a sand wedge to ace the 70-yard 16th on Wednesday in the Century National Bank Ladies League — she shot 32 and was playing with Karen Lyons.

A day earlier, in the Priority One Safety Training League, Shirley Rice nabbed her second career ace, using a 7-iron. She shot 42 and was playing with Jean Ross, Vonda Moore and Connie McGee.

Bob Wagner, 87, hit his third career hole-in-one during the Monday Morning Senior League Scramble. He used an 8-iron and was playing with Ed Yetter, Jim Hughes and Don Allen.
