Baseball: Robberts defends home run derby title

HEATH - The Licking County Home Run Derby is back, and so is defending champion Garett Robberts from Utica.

The annual charity event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Heath’s Dave Klontz Field. Donations will go to the Licking County Foundation, as well as the Anthony Moran family. There will also be a donation table for the Moran family, and T-shirts will be sold for both the home run derby and Moran family.

In addition to Robberts, expected to compete are Licking Valley’s Colt Caughenbaugh, Ryan Jurden from Heath, Newark Catholic’s Mitch Lohr, J.T. Smith of Lakewood, Cam Johnson from Watkins Memorial, Northridge’s Peyton Miller, Peyton Ley of Granville and Newark’s Nate Munyan.
