CHILLICOTHE - As deputies continue to search for two men they say are involved in the Sunday shooting death of a Londonderry man, they've released information about the car involved.

The Ross County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who sees the vehicle to call their offices immediately at 740-773-1185.

They are looking for a silver 1999 Ford Escort IX four-door sedan is believed to be linked to Jesse Hanes and James D. Nelson II, who are both wanted on warrants charging aggravated murder in connection with the death of Ted Timmons at his Poes Run Road home.

The last known Ohio license plate number was GVP1538.

Meanwhile, Hanes and Nelson are still loose and considered by law enforcement to be armed and dangerous. The sheriff's office released a wanted poster Friday afternoon with mug shots of Hanes and Nelson and a photo of the type of vehicle involved.

In 1995, Hanes pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated burglary, and aggravated robbery in Franklin County Common Pleas Court. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and given 161 days of jail credit.

According to a letter he wrote to the judge, Hanes said he was 16 years old when he was "locked up" and was 32 years old when he was released.

The case was bound over from juvenile court in February 1995 and he was sentenced in May 1995.

A grand jury originally indicted Hanes on two counts of aggravated murder, one count each of attempted aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance, all with gun specifications, but in a plea deal, charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance were dropped against him.

Hanes was indicted for allegedly causing the death of Vicki L. Jenkins while committing, or attempting to commit an aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery at in Franklin County while in possession of a sawed-off shotgun, according to the indictment.

Hanes was sentenced in May 2013 to serve three years in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and was given 14 days of jail credit. He was also given three years post-release control and ordered to pay restitution of more than $3,600 to Fifth Third Bank.

Nelson has numerous drug-related convictions out of Licking County Common Pleas Court, court records show.
