Mid-Ohio loads schedule with fan activities

Running (almost) unopposed

It looks like if you're not at Mid-Ohio this weekend, you won't be seeing much local racing anywhere close by.

Track officials at Spitzer Motor Speedway announced via press release on Monday that it plans to announce a schedule restructure for the remainder of the 2016 season later this week, and that this Friday's event, originally booked to include mini stocks, outlaw mini stocks and mini trucks, has been postponed and will be made up at a later date. The tracks's next scheduled is event is the Bud St. Amant Memorial Classic on Aug. 5 and 6.

But if you're willing to make the drive, the other courses in the area will still have racing. Fremont Speedway will run on Saturday featuring 410 and 305 sprints, 602 late models and dirt trucks. In its sixth night of the Buckeye Late Model Dirtweek, Hilltop Speedway will host modifieds, mini stocks and late models on Thursday night.

NAPA Wyane County Speedway will have Kids Night on Saturday featuring 410 Sprints, Super Late Models, Super Stocks, Rush Late Models, Mini Stocks and Karts. Attica Raceway Park will be open on Friday to host 410 Sprints, ALMS Late Models and 305 Sprints.
