Daryle Singletary performing in McConnelsville

McCONNELSVILLE - Country singer Daryle Singletary will perform at 4 and 8 p.m. May 21 at the Twin City Opera House as part of the Ohio Valley Opry.

Singletary scored several top 40 country hits on the Billboard charts from 1995 to 2000. His songs include “I Let Her Lie,” “Too Much Fun,” “Amen Kind of Love,” and “The Note.” He’s touring in support of his latest album “There’s Still a Little Country Left.”

The native of Cairo, Georgia, was discovered by Randy Travis. Singletary was working open microphone nights and as a demo singer in Nashville. Travis picked up a song Singletary sang a demo of, “Old Pair of Shoes,” which help launch his career. In the past, he has performed with the likes of Merle Haggard, George Jones, Vince Gill and Dwight Yoakum.

Also performing for the show will be The Clark Family, Matt Coleman, Beth Bigham, Mike Morrison, Tai Ray, Britney Reeves and comic Uncle Doofus.
