NHRA driver Sidnei Frigo airlifted to hospital after horrific crash

Pro Mod driver Sidnei Frigo was airlifted to a hospital Friday night after a crash during qualifying at the NHRA SpringNationals at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas.

NHRA officials said Frigo was responsive to medical personnel after being extricated from the car.

According to the NHRA website, Frigo also has raced in Top Fuel and Top Alcohol Dragster classes. His business in Brazil includes owning Artivinco Racing and interests in the paper and packaging realm. He is married with three children - two boys and a girl.
