BHS honoring staff at recognition dinner

BUCYRUS - The Bucyrus City School District will have its annual staff recognition dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Bucyrus High School Commons.

The district will honor many staff members for their years of care and commitment to the children of the Bucyrus community.

The 2015-2016 retirees being recognized include Beverly McGinnis and Kimberly Light. Additional staff members will be honored for 5, 10, 20 and 30 years of service in the district. Recipients and their years of service include Aaron Eckert, 5 years; Ed Knecht, 5 years; John Massara, 5 years; Jenay Pfeifer, 5 years; Josh Stratton, 5 years; Kay Hedges, 10 years; Melanie James, 10 years; Penny Pollitt, 10 years; Terra Hamm, 20 years; Rhonda Shifley, 20 years; Kevin Fourman, 30 years; Tony Michalek, 30 years; and Virginia Michalek, 30 years.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff members that will be honored during the district staff recognition dinner, especially those staff members retiring from education,” superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “Their countless years of dedication to the students of Bucyrus City Schools are very much appreciated.”
