After moving to a Level 1 snow emergency Thursday morning, Ross County Sheriff George Lavender announced the county was removed from a snow emergency level shortly before 11 p.m.

Ohio Department of Transportation crews worked until midnight Wednesday to clear and treat roads as the snowfall came to an end. Road conditions have improved, but drivers should still use caution and watch for areas of drifting snow and ice.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow showers are expected for Friday.
