Concerts | Bad Boy Reunion Tour coming to Columbus

The good news for Puff Daddy fans is the hip-hop mogul has announced a Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour featuring Lil’ Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, 112, Total, Carl Thomas, The Lox And French Montana. The bad news is its only Ohio date is Aug. 25 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. Tickets to see this high-profile bill, featuring artists with a combined 38 platinum and multi-platinum selling records and more than 400 million units sold worldwide, are $29.50 to $125.

• Rock act 3 Doors Down returned earlier this year with its sixth studio effort “Us And The Night.” Now the “Kryptonite” group has announced a late summer tour that includes an Aug. 28 show at Akron’s Goodyear Theater. Opening will be Rubber City band Red Sun Rising and Pop Evil. Tickets are $45 to $69.50 and are on sale at Ticketfly.com.  

• Known for No. 1 CCM hits “Who Am I,” “Lifesong,” “Does Anybody Hear,” “Until the Whole World Hears” and “Courageous,” Casting Crowns brings its “The Very Next Thing Tour” to Columbus for an Oct. 28 show at the Schottenstein Center. Opening are Matt Maher and Hannah Kerr. Tickets are $25.50 to $80.50.

• Everyone’s favorite a cappella outfit. Pentatonix. has announced a fall tour that includes an Oct. 30 show at the Schottenstein Center. Opening for the Grammy Award-winning act, which is still supporting its 2015 self-titled album, will be Us The Duo. Tickets are $35 to $85. Tickets to these Schottenstein Center shows are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.

• Trumpeter and composer Chris Botti, whose latest album “Impressions” won the 2013 Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album, has announced a summer tour. The platinum artist, who has four No. 1 jazz CDs to his credit, is scheduled to play July 1 at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. Tickets are $43.50 to $85. 

• After a six-year sabbatical from recording, Chris Isaak is back with new album “First Comes the Night.” The “Wicked Game” singer will be touring this summer with a July 13 show at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. Tickets are $37.50 to $62.50.

• Everyone figured when Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died in 2002, that seemed to mark the end of TLC. Now her remaining band mates Tionne "T-Boz Watkins” and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas are reforming TLC for a summer tour that includes a July 14 show at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. Tickets to see the “Waterfalls” act are $45 to $75.

• Over the past year, pop dance sensation Troye Sivan has quickly risen up the charts based on the success of his 2015 debut album, “Blue Neighbourhood.” The YouTube sensation brings his “Suburbia Tour” to Northeast Ohio for a Nov. 3 show at the Lakewood Civic Auditorium

• The Grammy nominated Loreena McKennitt is getting up close and personal this fall touring with a trio. The tour includes a Nov. 4 show at the Lakewood Civic Auditorium. Tickets to see the Celtic blend of pop, folk and world music artist are $42.50 to $55. Tickets to these Lakewood Civic Auditorium shows are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.

• Even though Sturgill Simpson’s latest album, “A Sailor's Guide to Earth,” is being positioned as a country effort, the singer-songwriter boasts obvious influences ranging from The Rolling Stones to The Clash. The critically-acclaimed artist comes to the Rock Hall City for an Oct. 14 show at the Masonic Auditorium. Tickets are $35 to $40, and are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.

• Classic rock fans will want to check out .38 Special July 9 at Express Live! in Columbus. Opening will be McGuffey Lane, Scotty Bratcher, Willie Phoenix and Jackass Genius. Tickets are $19.96.

• Michael Franti & Spearhead bring its “Soulrocker Tour” to Central Ohio for a July 24 show at Express Live! Tickets to see the roots act, which has brand new single “Once A Day,” are $35, and are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.

• Gavin DeGraw and Andy Grammer have announced a co-headlining tour, which includes an Oct. 5 show at the Express Live! Tickets are $35.

• Also teaming up for a fall tour are Switchfoot and Relient K. You can see “The Looking for America Tour” Oct. 6 at Express Live! Tickets are $29.50

• AC/DC tribute act Black in Black has booked a June 10 show at the House of Blues. Tickets are $13.

• The Dolan Twins’ “4OU Tour” brings the social media darlings to Northeast Ohio for a June 18 show at the House of Blues. Opening is Alex Aiono. Tickets are $30.

• Singer-songwriter LP (Laura Pergolizzi), who co-wrote Rihanna's “Cheers (Drink to That),” is getting ready to release a new EP. The Los Angeles-based artist will be touring this summer with an Aug. 5 show booked at the House of Blues’ Cambridge Room. Tickets are $12.

• Young the Giant turned heads with its 2010 self-titled debut effort, which included radio hits “My Body” and “Cough Syrup.” Now the foursome is back with a new album, “Home of the Strange,” which is due out in August. The act has announced a summer tour that includes a Sept. 6 show at the House of Blues. Opening is Ra Ra Riot. Tickets are $27.50.

• Canadian pop-rockers Marianas Trench are back with new album “Astoria.” The group has booked a July 31 show at the House of Blues. Tickets are $25.
