His Golden Knights had three weight-class champions and qualified nine grapplers to next weekend's district tournament at Coshocton.

Northmor also won the team title with 235 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Hartley which posted 164 points.

"We don't have the returning all-stars who are known statewide like we have in the past," Carr said. "This is one of the best teams, from top to bottom, we've had at Northmor in a long time.

"I tell them to believe in themselves, and they keep showing up."

The Northmor weight-division winners were Conan Becker (120 pounds), Jake Farley (138) and Kyle Johnson (182) while Aaron Kitts (113), Griffin Jenkins (126) and Sam Neer (145) fashioned second-place finishes.

The top four finishers in each weight class moved on to the district tourney.
