Kroup, Bigrigg leads RV past Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE – Adam Kroup had a day to remember for River View on Monday.
Kroup drove in five runs on four singles as the Black Bears rolled to a 7-1 win against Cambridge in an East Central Ohio League game at Cambridge City Park.
River View (8-5, 4-2 ECOL) built a 7-0 lead in the third inning, as Bryan Cox and Brad Conkling also had RBIs
Josh Bigrigg twirled a two-hitter with seven strikeouts to get the win, while he also doubled, singled and scored three times at the plate.
Trevor Wine added two singles for the winners, while Jonathan Helmick doubled.
Bigrigg took a no-hitter into the fourth before Zavin Orr doubled and scored on Stevie McPeak’s double. It accounted for all of the Bobcats’ offense.
Rusty Hayhurst was losing pitcher.
