Coshocton wins West Holmes Tennis Invite

MILLERSBURG – Coshocton won four of the five divisions to claim the team title Saturday at the West Holmes Invitational.

Jim Magness claimed second singles with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins against Massillon’s Zach Wolfe and West Holmes’ Andrew Rodhe, while Cameron Wiandt opened with a bye before topping Nate Gregg of Massillon 6-2, 6-1 in the third singles final.

Thomas Gauerke and Mitchell Milliken won the first doubles title with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins over Norwayne and Massillon, while Emily Hartley and Katie Tupper drew a bye before beating a Massillon doubles team 6-1, 6-1 to win the second doubles title.

Sam Magness defeated Massillon’s Nate Ruth 6-2, 6-2 in the first round, but fell 6-3, 6-2 to Dillon Early of Norwayne in the finals at first singles.
