GIBSONBURG – Two village men were arrested early Sunday after they told police they got into a fist fight over how one was treating a woman.

Timothy Bigley, 46, faces one misdemeanor count each of assault and obstructing official business. Juan Alvarado, 43, faces one misdemeanor count of assault.

Bigley was treated at ProMedica Memorial Hospital and received stitches for a cut to his knee, according to a Gibsonburg police report. Alvarado suffered a cut to his face, according to the report.

The men and the woman over whom they fought appeared to be intoxicated, police reported.

The fight took place at a home in the 200 block of West Kemmerling Street. Gibsonburg police were called there at 12:16 a.m.

Bigley, Alvarado and the woman were at the home when Bigley and Alvarado got into a verbal argument about how Bigley was treating the woman, Alvarado told police.

The fight then turned physical, and the men had an altercation in the back yard, Alvarado told police.

Bigley was charged with obstructing official business after police reported he initially would not speak to them and would not cooperate with their investigation, the report shows.
