For the record: Snowmobiler charged with fleeing deputy

CHARGED

• A Fremont man was charged with obstructing official business, driving under suspension, snowmobile in the road and traffic control device after a sheriff’s deputy saw him run a red light while on a snowmobile. The deputy tracked the snowmobile to a gas station, where the driver told him he did not have a driver’s license with him. The driver then took off, according to sheriff’s office reports. The deputy then tracked the snowmobile to Howland Street, where he found and arrested the man.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

• 4:21 a.m., Fremont police reported a sexual assault that might have happened in the county. The alleged victim was being treated at ProMedica Memorial Hospital.

BURGLARY

• 5:23 p.m., a caller reported someone broke into River Cliff Golf Course and ransacked freezers, 1300 block of Tiffin Street, Ballville Township.

VANDALISM

• 7:53 a.m., a caller reported someone slashed tires on his three vehicles, 100 block of St. Paul Street.

ARRESTED

• 8:51 a.m., sheriff’s deputies found a man wanted on a warrant from Erie County in a basement, 1000 block of South Sandusky County Road 308, York Township.

IDENTITY THEFT

• 5:05 p.m., a caller reported when he tried to file his tax return, someone else had filed a return using his Social Security number, 2600 block of Sandusky County Road 74, Washington Township.

• 5:30 p.m., a 27-year-old Fremont man was charged with driving under suspension and speeding, North Front and Haynes streets.

ARRESTED

• 2:32 a.m., a 24-year-old Fremont man was arrested on a warrant from Seneca County for failure to appear, East State and Joseph streets.

DAMAGE

• 8:37 a.m., a caller reported a city snowplow damaged her mailbox, 800 block of Castalia Street.

VANDALISM

• 10:53 a.m., a caller reported someone broke a window on her car while it was illegally parked, 200 block of North Collinwood Boulevard.

SNOWMOBILE COMPLAINT

• 12:04 p.m., a caller reported snowmobiles were riding in yards, 1100 block of Buckland Avenue.

THEFT

• 8:27 p.m., a caller reported jewelry was stolen from her home, 1500 block of North Street.

• 12:13 a.m., a caller reported someone threw liquid onto a vehicle, Wilson and Sycamore streets.

• 10 p.m., a caller reported someone slashed a tire on her vehicle, 400 block of Park Avenue.

• 10 p.m., a caller reported someone slashed a tire on her vehicle, 300 block of North Collinwood Boulevard.

CHARGED

• 12:16 a.m., a 15-year-old Fremont girl and a 16-year-old Fremont girl were charged with disorderly conduct after they had an altercation near Birchard Park. Both were on probation.

CRASH

• 2:02 p.m., James Cheek, 43, Monroeville, was charged with no assured clear distance ahead after a three-car crash on the State Street Bridge.

CITED

• 4:07 p.m., a 24-year-old Clyde man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop, St. Joseph street and Gordon Place.

DRUGS

• 9:56 a.m., while standing by as Sandusky County Children’s Services spoke with someone at a residence, police found a bag of marijuana and a pipe, 1300 block of Mosser Drive. The items were taken to the police department to be destroyed.

• 3:11 p.m., a caller reported to Sandusky County Children’s Services that heroin and hypodermic needles were found, 900 block of Carbon Street.

• 5:39 p.m., a 20-year-old Fremont woman was cited with driving under suspension after a traffic stop, Arch Street.

• 9:06 p.m., a 19-year-old Clyde man was charge with underage consumption and domestic violence, 300 block of Spring Street.

• 9:22 p.m., a caller reported a drunk person was walking and falling down repeatedly on Vine Street toward McPherson Highway.
