Suspected drug sellers indicted

MARION – Six suspects accused of selling hard drugs in the last three months headline the indictments released by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

A Marion County grand jury recently charged the Marion residents with trafficking heroin and cocaine, while six others were charged with drug possession.

James E. Lampkin, 32, 684 E. Church St., was indicted on one count of corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony, and one count of trafficking in cocaine, a third-degree felony.

Lampkin is suspected of working with a juvenile to sell five or more grams of cocaine in Marion County on Feb. 19.

Danita L. Snow, 46, 617 Bartram Ave., was indicted on four counts of trafficking in cocaine, four fifth-degree felonies; one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; one count of illegal conveyance of drug of abuse onto a detention facility, a third-degree felony; and one count of possession of cocaine, a fourth-degree felony.

Investigators believe Snow sold cocaine and drugs on five different occasions between Dec. 16 and Feb. 10. More drugs were found on Snow after she was taken to jail. A 2000 Dodge Durango was seized in the investigation.

Snow has a criminal drug history, according to Marion County Court of Common Pleas records. She pleaded guilty to trafficking in marijuana in 1992, trafficking cocaine in 2005 and possession of drugs in 2013.

Anitria M. Akins, 29, 465 S. Main St., was indicted on four counts of trafficking in heroin, all fifth-degree felonies, and one count of possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony.

Larrissa K. Anderson, 28, 465 S. Main St., was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, both fifth-degree felonies, and one count of possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony.

Akins and Anderson are suspected of selling heroin on six occasions between December and February. Investigators seized two cellphones believed to have been used to set up drug sales. They also took $536 and two TVs believed to have been received in exchange for drugs.

Richard L. Smale Jr., 27, 1015 N. Main St., was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, both fifth-degree felonies.

Smale also has a criminal history; he was charged with heroin trafficking in 2013.

Polly L. Basinger, 29, 1015 N. Main St., was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, fourth- and fifth-degree felonies.

Basinger and Smale were jointly indicted after suspicions they sold heroin three times in December.

Throughout the second half of February, eight others were indicted in the Marion County Court of Common Pleas:

Robert L. Gattshall, 68, 527 Lee St., was indicted on three counts of sexual battery, all third-degree felonies.

Roger L. Rader, 31, 130 Cherry St., North Baltimore, was indicted on one count of robbery, a third-degree felony.

Daphne V. Carter, 24, 227 S. High St., was indicted on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony.

David J. Hoyda, 24, 1450 County Road 36, Tiffin, was indicted on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of operating a vehicle under the influence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

David W. Owen, 24, 483 Pearl St., was indicted on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

Cody S. Townsend, 24, 843 Uncapher Ave., was indicted on one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony.

James D. Williams, 25, 670 Marion-Williamsport Road, was indicted on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

Justin A. Stanley, 27, 611 S. Prospect St., was indicted on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.
