Michigan's Jim Harbaugh comes to aid of crash victims

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — State police say Jim Harbaugh took a break from rescuing Michigan's football team to come to the aid of some SUV crash victims.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has reportedly been offered the Michigan job.

WDIV-TV (http://bit.ly/1DRxcNn ) reports that the Wolverines' new head coach and sports staff member James Minick were driving on Interstate 94 in Ann Arbor when they saw a Jeep Cherokee spin out of control, crash and overturn on the slippery roadway.

The station says Harbaugh and Minick helped a 73-year-old woman get out of the vehicle and used their coats to keep her warm until an EMS crew arrived.

WDIV says the men also helped the 53-year-old driver, who was partially ejected from the SUV. The driver and passenger were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Harbaugh was hired after Michigan's disappointing 5-7 performance last season under Brady Hoke.
