Police: Pink stun gun robber strikes again

MANSFIELD – Mansfield police are investigating an early Wednesday morning armed robbery believed to be connected to a similar robbery Tuesday.

No one was injured after a man used a pink stun gun in an attempted armed robbery at Family Dollar shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the store at 64 Lexington Ave.

Police have released few details on the robbery but believe the man involved in the Family Dollar incident was responsible for a similar crime that took place Tuesday because of the description of both the weapon and the suspect.

A person entered Circle K at about 4 a.m. Tuesday and pointed a pink stun gun at a clerk, according to a Mansfield police report. The person then began arcing the stun gun while demanding money from the cash drawer.

The clerk told police the subject grabbed money when he opened the drawer and ran from the business on foot. According to the report, the clerk believed the person was a regular customer.

The suspect in Tuesday's robbery was described as a person wearing a dark ski mask and a leather jacket.

The investigation into both incidents continues.
