Woman ejected from vehicle in crash

PIKETON – The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon on State Route 124 that resulted in a Piketon woman being ejected from her vehicle.

A 2007 Ford Focus driven by Angela G. Cutler, 53, of Piketon, was traveling eastbound on State Route 124 when it traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Cutler was ejected from the vehicle and sustained incapacitating injuries, according to the patrol.

She was transported from the scene to Adena Pike Medical Center and then later taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Benton Township Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene of the crash.

The patrol said alcohol impairment is believed to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
