Indictments

The following people were indicted for felony offenses in Licking County Common Pleas Court:

Crystal M. Moore, 34, last known address 435 E. Main St., Newark, was charged with one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony.

On June 25, Moore was suspected of forging a document, according to the indictment.

Michael S. Stoner, 28, last known address 91 Andover Road Apt. B, Heath, was charged with one count each of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, a minor misdemeanor.

On Sept. 17, Stoner was suspected of breaking into a residence, according to the indictment.

Eric A. Troutt, 23, last known address 863 Jones Ave., Newark, was charged with one count each of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; and driving under suspension, an unclassified misdemeanor.

On Sept. 22, Troutt was suspected of having a stolen car in his possession, according to the indictment.

Simon J. Coats, 21, last known address 272 Essex Place, Pataskala, was charged with two counts each of attempted murder, both first-degree felonies; and felonious assault, both second-degree felonies.

On May 15, Coats was suspected of attempting to cause serious physical harm to two people, according to the indictment.

Jerald W. Van Allen, 44, last known address 152 Irvingwick Drive, Lot 1B, Heath, was charged with two counts of felonious assault, both second-degree felonies.

On Sept. 17, Van Allen was suspected of stabbing two people, according to the indictment.

Tammy M. Kirk, 42, last known address 12726 Wilkins Run Road, Newark, was charged with one count each of theft from a person in a protected class, a third-degree felony; and forgery, a third-degree felony.

Between July 3 and Aug. 24, Kirk was suspected of stealing from an elderly person and forging documents, according to the indictment.

Jeffery P. Carpenter, 26, last known address 190 Lawrence St., Newark, was charged with one count of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony.

Between Sept. 1, 2014 and June 25, Carpenter was suspected of having the chemicals needed to make methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Jordan L. Shumate, 19, last known address 88 Cambria St., Newark, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, one a fourth-degree felony and one a fifth-degree felony.

Between Sept. 5 and 6, Shumate was suspected of having a stolen vehicle and stolen license plates in his possession, according to the indictment.

James R. Parker, 33, last known address 64 Webb St., Newark, was charged with one count each of carrying concealed weapons, a fourth-degree felony; having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony; aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor; possession of dangerous ordnance, a fifth-degree felony; having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony; improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony.

On Sept. 19, Parker was suspected of having concealed weapons he was not permitted to carry due to a prior felony conviction and threatening a person, according to the indictment.
