Lefty proves good things come in small packages

Lefty is an approximately 4-years-old, Terrier Mix, weighing nine pounds. The little guy is playful, affectionate and loves treats. A great little athlete, he’ll join his owner on walks or runs.

The Newark Advocate will be profiling a dog a day in October from the Licking County Animal Shelter in honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

Adoption fees include current vaccines and preventive care and spay or neuter procedure. New from the shelter is added microchipping, included in adoption fees and additional health insurance at no charges for 30 days after adoption.

Shelter hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
