City home broken into twice in two days

CHILLICOTHE – Police are casting a watchful eye on an Adams Avenue home after it was apparently broken into twice in two days.

Police were called to the home, in the 800 block of Adams Avenue, by the homeowner’s sister at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived, the sister told police she checked on the home after it had been broken into the previous day. After that break-in, the homeowner secured the back door with lumber.

When the sister arrived Wednesday, she found the back door slightly open and evidence that someone had been inside. The lumber was found on the floor inside the house and it appeared that someone had kicked the back door in again.

The homeowner told police little was missing from the home.
