Crews working on East Fair today

LANCASTER — City street crews are doing repaving work on East Fair Avenue between High Street and Sheridan Drive until about 2:30 p.m. today, transportation superintendent Toby Shamblin said.

The work consists of leveling and chip-sealing the roadway, which he said is a temporary fix until the state pays 80 percent of a permanent fix in 2018.

Shamblin said motorists should expect only slight traffic delays today. It will be completed before school lets out.
