Lights and Sirens: Man in tantrum kicks electric box

ARRESTS

Officers on patrol attempted a traffic stop on South East Street and the passenger initiated a foot pursuit. A 28-year-old man was arrested in the 400 block of Wallace Avenue and charged with obstructing official business and was ordered held on a probation violation. He was taken to the Crawford County jail. 8:23 a.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on South Sandusky Avenue at Center Street and arrested a 38-year-old man on charges of possession of marijuana. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and released. 2:25 p.m.

Officers located an 18-year-old man near Allen and South Sandusky Avenue He was arrested on a Marion County warrant and was taken to the Crawford County jail to await transport to Marion County. 6:53 p.m.

INCIDENTS

Officers checked a possible attempted break-in in the 1000 block of South East Street; unfounded. 11 a.m.

Officers investigated a report of a door to a business possibly unsecured. The door was found to be secure. 11:17 a.m.

A report of a purse taken from the 100 block of Washington Square was received. 11:53 a.m.

A report of someone attempting to vandalize the electric box at the intersection of Walnut and Mary streets was made. Officers located the individual, and he was having a tantrum because of an issue with a girlfriend. No permanent damage was caused. 2:10 p.m.

An employee of the Bucyrus Public Library reported items missing from a desk. 3:06 p.m.

Employees at Walmart reported an attempted shoplifting from the store. Two men and one woman dropped goods and ran and left the area in a maroon Honda Accord with a temporary tag. They left the area to the east and the state patrol was notified for assistance in locating the vehicle. 3:28 p.m.

Tools, credit cards and other items found in a yard in the 100 block of Penn Avenue were turned over to officers. 4:31 p.m.

A report of windows broken at a home in the 1100 block of East Warren Street was investigated. 5:31 p.m.

A domestic disturbance in the 100 block of South Sandusky Avenue was mediated and both parties mutually separated. 5:54 p.m.

Officers checked the 800 block of South Sandusky Avenue after receiving a report of juveniles throwing rocks at cars in the area. The children were gone before officers arrived. 5:57 p.m.

A report of a suspicious man on West Southern Avenue was investigated. 6:44 p.m.

Officers stood by for a civil custody exchange in the City Hall parking lot. 8:02 p.m.

Officers spoke to a person at the police department who had some questions about an unruly juvenile. 9:18 p.m.

Officers helped with a property dispute in the 400 block of West Mansfield Street. 11:25 p.m.
