Three hospitalized after head-on crash

CHILLICOTHE – A Waverly man was transported to a Columbus hospital following a crash on Ohio 772 near Denver Road Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Dana Demint, 38, of Waverly, was northbound on Ohio 772 in a 2008 Mazda minivan at 4:18 p.m. when she failed to yield on a left turn and collided with a southbound 2002 Chevrolet pickup driven by Thomas Sullivan, 56, of Waverly.

The two drivers were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for treatment, as was Christopher Vance, 39, who was a rear seat passenger in the Demint vehicle. Vance was then transported via ground transportation to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment of more severe injuries.

A passenger in the front seat of the Demint vehicle, 16-year-old Destiny Demint,, also was taken to Adena for treatment.
