One charged after Morgan County shooting

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP – Authorities have charged a 27-year-old man in connection with a shooting on Saturday that injured one man.

Thomas Nicholson has been charged with felonious assault, according to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.

Nicholson, who lives on Ohio 60 near Beverly, is suspected of shooting and injuring a Marietta man at 1:46 p.m. on Saturday in Windsor Township.

The victim was taken to a Columbus hospital, where he continues to recover from injuries that authorities say are not life-threatening. He was reportedly shot in the shoulder area.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office responded to the mutual aid call on Saturday. Nicholson was arrested shortly after officers found the victim in a yard just off Ohio 266.
