A semi tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on U.S. 36, just past Newcastle Township Road 41, struck a guardrail off the road’s right edge at 1:04 a.m. No injuries were reported.

A westbound motorcyclist lost control on a curve on County Road 16 and hit a ditch at 12:33 p.m. Friday. Further details were unavailable.

Deputies investigated a report of a hit-skip accident at the intersection of Chestnut and 12th streets at 9:02 p.m. Friday.

A northbound motorist on County Road 24 hit a groundhog, lost control of his cycle and overturned in the northbound lane at 4:53 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.
