Wilson delivers game-winning hit in Generals’ win

DUNCAN FALLS – Samantha Wilson singled home two runs in the seventh inning, propelling Ridgewood to a 6-4 win over host Philo in non-league play Monday.

The Generals (5-12) led 4-3 after the first inning, but the Electrics (6-7) tied it at 4 with a run in the fourth.

Wilson started, giving up four runs, one earned, on three hits in five innings and finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Erika Michael gave up one hit in two scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Jaedyn Wentz and Kayla Sharier both added two hits, Audrey Tingle hit a RBI single in the four-run first and Paige Patterson had a double, a single and two RBIs for Ridgewood, which had just one error.

Mia Wilson started and retired just one batter, surrendering four runs on six hits in the first to take the loss.

Charlea Revennaugh had a double and a single and Mallory Hill singled and drove home two runs for Philo.
