Woman burned in Toboso, flown to Columbus hospital

TOBOSO -- An woman was flown to a Columbus hospital Sunday with serious burns.

Hanover Volunteer Fire Department crews were called to the 18000 block of Claypool Road at 4 p.m. Chief Brian Spellman said the patient was "burned from her waist to her shoulders" and estimated she had burns on more than 30 percent of her body.

The patient was flown by Air Evac helicopter to Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center.

Spellman said he is unsure of how the patient was burned. Because of the severity of the injuries, crews worked as quickly as possible to get the patient transported.
