Grammys 2016: 9 things to know
Music's biggest night is around the corner. The 58th Grammy Awards air Monday, Feb. 15, and new announcements about this year's awards continue to arrive as the date inches closer, from the big-name performers scheduled to appear to a major scheduling shift.
Here's what we know so far about this year's Grammys:
For the first time, the ceremony will air live around the country.
No tape delay for the Grammys this year. The ceremony will air live in the Pacific and Mountain time zones for the first year ever,
Adele leads a stacked lineup of performers.
This year's slate of Grammys performers includes Adele, whose album 25 took 2015 by storm but missed the deadline for this year's nominations, alongside nominees Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Pitbull, Little Big Town, Alabama Shakes, Joey Alexander and Miguel. Grammy-winner Rihanna, who just released her eighth studio album, ANTI, will also be performing.
The ceremony will also feature some new collaborations, with Bieber joining Diplo and Skrillex to perform Where Are Ü Now, Chris Stapleton paying tribute to legendary blues artist B.B. King with Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt, Pitbull performing with Travis Barker and Robin Thicke, and an appearance by supergroup The Hollywood Vampires featuring Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry
Other collaborations include James Bay and Tori Kelly, country stars Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood, and the R&B/electropop mashup of Andra Day and Ellie Goulding.
The Hamilton cast will appear via simulcast.
The cast of the smash-hit musical will perform the show's opening number via satellite, live from the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York. Hamilton will mark the eighth time a musical theater cast has performed on the Grammys (most recently, American Idiot in 2010), but the first to appear via simulcast.

The awards will celebrate the career of Lionel Richie
The ceremony will feature a special tribute performance to the four-time Grammy-winning singer. Richie was also honored by MusiCares, the Grammys' charity organization that supports musicians in need, as the foundation's 2016 Person of the Year.
Lady Gaga will honor David Bowie with a tribute
Gaga will remember the late legend with a performance, with the legendary Nile Rodgers, himself a Bowie collaborator, signing on as musical director.

Glenn Frey will also be honored during the show
Eagles members Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh will pay tribute to their late bandmate with a performance of a classic Eagles' song, joined by Take it Easy co-writer Jackson Browne.
Run-D.M.C. and Earth Wind & Fire lead the pack of Lifetime Achievement Award recipients.
Taylor Swift will open the ceremony, performing a song from the album-of-the-year nominee 1989, one she hasn't performed live on TV before.
Once again, LL Cool J will host.
The rapper returns to host the awards show for the fifth year in a row.
The Grammys will air live across the country on Monday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
