Staff Report

ZANESVILLE - Two people were transported to Genesis Hospital on Friday after a two-car crash at the intersection of Pine Street and Echo Avenue.

Two people were transported to Genesis Hospital on Friday after a two-car crash at the intersection of Pine Street and Echo Avenue.

The driver of a white car driving south on Pine Street failed to yield when turning left onto Echo Avenue and hit a red vehicle driving north, said Zanesville Patrolman Mike Brown. The passenger of the white car and driver of the red vehicle were transported with injuries, though both were conscious when emergency crews arrived.

The driver of the white car fled the scene, and Brown said once officers find her, she will be cited for failure to yield as well as other possible charges.

The incident is still under investigation.
