Police log: Woman calls tenant 177 times for ex

THEFT

2:07 p.m., Wal-Mart employees stated a black male left the store with a Emerson 32-inch television valued at $248 without paying and when employees attempted to stop him, he ran. Security footage shows the man loading the TV into a silver Volkswagen and turn east onto 163, 2800 block of East Harbor Road, Portage Township.

STOP SIGN VIOLATION/DRUGS/DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION

•11:17 p.m., a 26-year-old Port Clinton man was arrested and charged with stop sign violation, driving under suspension and possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments after being stopped by a sheriff’s deputy for rolling through a stop sign. Upon questioning, the man stated that he was under child support suspension; he was handcuffed and read his rights. Deputies located loose marijuana, a marijuana pipe, a bag of 45 unmarked prescription pills, a marijuana grinder, electronic scale and loose white powder inside the vehicle, corner of West Lakeshore Drive and North Bertchen Drive.

THEFT

•3:08 p.m., a female complainant said she had left a key in her door overnight and that it was gone. She said there were children going house-to-house selling coupons and thinks they had taken the key, 300 block of Third St., Clay Center.

THEFT/PROPERTY DAMAGE

•2:50 p.m., a male complainant said his car’s driver-side door had been opened and his mixed CDs were stolen with the thief damaging the front end of the car, 6100 block of West Main Street, Williston.

HARASSMENT

•10:29 a.m., a female complainant said her landlord’s ex-wife had called her 177 times in the last three days. A sheriff’s deputy made contact with the suspect, who said she was just looking out for her ex-husband. She was advised that if he had a problem, he should call the sheriff’s office, 300 block of Madison Street, Port Clinton.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

•10:18 a.m., a female complainant said someone had thrown a rock through her house window, 4400 block of Little Portage East Road, Bay Township.

BREAKING & ENTERING

•8:36 a.m., a male complainant said overnight someone had cut the locks off his business doors and stolen about 40 copper old-style radiators, 30 used car batteries and 50 aluminum tire rims, totaling about $2,500, 4100 block of West Fremont Road, Bay Township.

•5:12 p.m., a caller said subjects were pounding and kicking her door, 1100 block of West Fremont Road.

FOUND PROPERTY

•5:04 p.m., a caller said they had found a boys blue Alphas bicycle, Water Works Park.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

•4:51 p.m., a caller said they had found a dead dog in a backpack in a garbage can at the West End Park, 800 block of Kentucky.

DISTURBANCE

•10:49 p.m., a caller said subjects were yelling at an older disabled man. The suspects were located and warned to leave him alone, 200 block of West Third Street.

SHOPLIFTING

•8:59 p.m., a Rite Aid employee said subjects were taking items and hiding them in their clothes and then putting them back. Responding officer warned the subjects and they left, 1600 block of East Perry Street.

JUVENILE COMPLAINT

•8:44 p.m., a caller said a group of juveniles were going door-to-door, knocking and running away, 400 block of West Second Street.

INTOXICATED PERSON

•7:19 p.m., a caller said an intoxicated person was stumbling around in the Jet Express parking lot, 10 block of Monroe Street.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT

•6:02 p.m., a caller said a woman was harassing her with text messages, 200 block of Beech Street.
