Commission names best August lawns

FREMONT - The Fremont Tree and Beautification Commission announced the winners of the August lawn judging.

Winners are Rick and Sue Jenkins, 1560 Maple Lane and St. Joseph Croghan St. Garden Club, (east entrance pathway) 709 Croghan St.

Nominated homes are worthy of viewing include Scott and Karen Semer, 606 Cole Road; Sandusky County Historical Society, 514 Birchard Ave.; Jim and Susan Briney, 1127 Birchard Ave.; and Wilma Rapp, 1501 Alger St.

The next judging will be for Halloween decorations in October.
