Police log: Man tries using fake money to buy beer

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

• 1:28 a.m., a caller reported a man attempted to purchase beer with a fake $20 bill. The caller said the customer admitted the money was fake but said the man become irate before leaving the store, 3400 block North Ohio 53.

CHARGED

• A 41-year-old Fremont woman was charged with one misdemeanor count of violating a protection order.

• A 25-year-old Bellevue man was charged with one misdemeanor count of probation violation.

• A 26-year-old Findlay man was charged with one misdemeanor count of failure to appear.

• Marissa Requena, 23, of Woodville, was charged with one felony count of burglary.

• Andrea Valdez, 38, of Fremont, was charged with one felony count of theft.

• A 33-year-old Sandusky man was charged with one misdemeanor count of contempt.

CITED

• 5:39 p.m., Paul Balderson, 34, of Kansas, Ohio, was charged with possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia during a traffic stop, Napoleon Street.

INTOXICATED SUBJECT

• 2:07 p.m., a caller reported a man at the Riviera Mobile Home Park was overdosing. When rescue personnel arrive, the man was on the floor of the home and highly intoxicated. A woman at the home said the man was drinking vodka, 2400 block Port Clinton Road.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

• 3:46 a.m., a woman was passed out in her car at the Rally’s parking lot. A Rally’s employee told police she thought the woman was intoxicated. After making contact with the woman, police were told she had fallen asleep, 543 N. Ohio Avenue.

• 5:59 p.m., a caller reported a white male wearing a green and black shirt attempted to steal two bottles of liquor. The caller told police the man has attempted to steal liquor before, 1300 block Oak Harbor Road.

• 5:10 p.m., a caller reported a white moped stolen from his home, 700 block East State Street.

• 5:34 p.m., a caller said an elderly woman was attempting to shoplift items at Dollar General, 1001 E. McPherson Hwy.
