The 38-year-old victim suffered from a knife wound in his abdomen, according to Lt. Dean Hettinger of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported at 1:59 a.m., according to a news release posted on the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Facebook page. That release also said the victim suffered from a head wound.

Medics from the Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services took him to Coshocton Memorial Hospital, then later transported him to Grant Medical Center, Columbus, where his condition is listed as stable, deputies reported.

Deputies searched for a white male with a stocky build, standing about 5 feet 10 inches, wearing a white tank top and gray shorts with a red stripe, Hettinger confirmed.

They were unable to find him. The investigation is ongoing. No further details were available.
