Police log: Dogs kill man’s ducks

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/ARRESTS

• 11:35 p.m., Jeffrey Berger and his wife Joan Berger were arrested for domestic violence after an altercation in their home and both showed visible injuries after stating they had been physically struck by the other, 6900 block of N. Reiman Road, Allen Township.

BREAKING AND ENTERING

• 10:43 p.m., a woman said her camper had been broken into, breaking a window and several cabinet doors. Stolen were the camper’s water heater, bed sheets, food spices, glass plates and a box of tools totaling several thousand dollars in repairs and replacements, 6800 block of W. Harbor Road, Erie Township.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

• 8:01 p.m., a Benton Township man said two terrier dogs got in to his yard and killed five of his ducks, valued at $1,000, 3000 block of N. Nissen Road, Benton Township.

DISORDERLY SUBJECT

• 5:58 p.m., a Benton Township man said his neighbors began yelling and cursing at him because his dogs were barking at his dogs when he came home, 6800 block of N. Nissen Road, Benton Township.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

• 6:08 p.m., a Bay Township woman said her green 1999 Ford 150 with license plate #GPS1252 was being used without her permission while she was moving to another home, 2700 block of W. Columbus, Bay Township.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

• 10:40 p.m., a caller said a driver was all over the road. An officer located the car and the driver, who stated she was sleepy, W. Lakeshore Drive at the city limits.

JUVENILE COMPLAINT

• 8:59 p.m., a caller said two small juveniles were running around asking for their mother. An officer located the mother, who said she had gone next door to get something, 1100 block of W. Fremont Road.

FAMILY TROUBLE/WELFARE CHECK

• 5:43 p.m., a caller said two women were arguing about the welfare of the daughter’s child, 800 block of Concord.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

• 8:20 a.m., a caller said a maroon pickup truck drove very slowly past a small girl waiting for a bus on the side of the road, 1900 block of E. Harbor Road.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

• 2:34 a.m., a caller said someone walked into the U-shape at the front of the building. Responding officers said there was no one nor anything out of the ordinary, 300 block of W. Second St.

ARREST

• Austin M. Willis, of Elmore, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs.

ARREST

• 7:58 p.m., Tony Curtis Byrd Jr., no known address, was arrested and charged with violating protection order or consent agreement, 1200 block of E. Third St.

FAMILY TROUBLE

• 6:13 p.m., a caller said two male juvenile subjects were fighting, 500 block of W. Fremont Road.

WELFARE CHECK/ARREST

• 2:32 p.m., Brandon J. Pennell, of Port Clinton, was arrested and charged with probation violation through the Ottawa County Common Pleas Court, 600 block of W. Sixth St.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT

• 8:52 a.m., a staff member at Magruder Hospital said a subject was calling and threatening them, 600 block of Fulton St.
