ZFD hosts comedy night Friday

ZANESVILLE – The Zanesville Fire Department/Local 88 are hosting a comedy night this weekend to raise money for the department as well as local charities.

The event is scheduled for Friday at Bryan Place, 49 N 6th St.. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m., said firefighter Chad Brock.

“Basically, it’s a night of laughter,” Brock said.

Tickets cost $15 and can be bought through any firefighter or at ZFD central station on South Street. They will also be sold at the door.

Drinks and appetizers will be sold during the event, as well.

This is the first year for the event. Brock said funds raised will go toward the Benevolent Fund, which ZFD uses to help people in need, the ABC Wilson Fund and the Carr Center.
