Busy time of the year is starting

The next few days are big with the Thanksgiving weekend on tap and the Ohio State-Michigan game on television. But those aren't the only things going on. Here's a look at some Best Bets in Fairfield County:

LancasterChorale

The LancasterChorale will present "In Dulci Jubilo" at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary of the Assumption, 132 S. High St.

The performance will feature Christmas carols and motets. Organist Kevin Jones and the Lancaster Fairfield Youth Choir will be guest performers.

The chorale is under the musical direction of newly-hired artistic director Stephen Caracciolo.

Giving Thanks at The Well

The Well will have a Thanksgiving celebration from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Refreshments will be available and work by local artisans will be on display. The Well is at 203 S. Broad St. in Lancaster.

Small Business Saturday

Several downtown merchants will celebrate Small Business Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in downtown Lancaster, but the hours of operation by the businesses may vary.

Participating downtown shops and restaurants offer special discounts to celebrate the day.

Steve Lilly will be at Rockside Winery and Vineyards from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
