Deputies say man pulled gun on Meijer employee

CANAL WINCHESTER – The Fairfield County Sheriff’s office said a man pulled a gun on an employee at the Meijer store at 8300 Meijer Drive Monday around 11:30 p.m.

Deputies said an employee was cleaning the floors when he saw a black male and a white male hit a cashier with their cart as they tried to leave the store with a television set. The employee said the white male was wrestling with the cashier after being asked for the receipt for the television. The suspect then pulled a gun on the employee, deputies say, and threatened to shoot him if he didn’t stay back.

No one was injured and deputies say the suspect left in a silver Ford Escape. They also said other employees witnessed the incident.
