Newark Fire Department moving to new station today

NEWARK – The Newark Division of Fire is moving to its new home Wednesday.

The fire department is moving from the “old” Station #1 at 75 S. Fourth St. in downtown Newark to a new building directly behind the old station house.

The former station house will be torn down so construction on the new station house can be completed.
