Chicken noodle social coming July 16

BALTIMORE – St. Michael United Church of Christ will hold its annual chicken noodle social from 4 to 7 p.m. July 16.

This event has been a tradition for more than 75 years. Homemade noodles made by the ladies of the church, pressed chicken or sloppy Joe sandwiches, freshly prepared potato salad, baked beans, and more are on the menu.

Choose from an assortment of homemade cakes, pies and, ice cream to top off your meal.

This is open to the public for dine-in or carryout. The church is at 2495 Bickel Church Road, Baltimore.

Red, White and Blue Dinner

Start your Red, White and Blue weekend celebration at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3761 on Friday.

Post 3761 has a monthly dinner the first Friday of each month, and the theme this week is a traditional all-American cookout on the grill with hamburgers and brats, baked beans, macaroni salad and dessert for $6.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

Vacation Bible School

A vacation Bible school, “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything,” will be held from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. July 26 to 30 at Trinity United Church of Christ, Baltimore.

People can register in the office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or online at www.christum-baltimore.com.

•Bingo hosted by the Liberty Union Athletic Boosters: Bingo starts at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 4:30 p.m. Instant games, food and evening payout of $3,600. Held at Liberty Union High School, 500 Washington St., Baltimore.
