Lights and Sirens: Police investigate shopliftings

The holiday season may be over, but cases of shoplifting at the Walmart on East Mansfield Street are still being brought to the attention of the Bucyrus Police Department. At 3:40 a.m. on Friday, an employee at Walmart reported that someone had shoplifted a cart full of items from the store. Officers are investigating. In addition, the department is seeking information on two other suspects in an earlier shoplifting at Walmart in which thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise was stolen. Officers investigated a disturbance in the 200 block of East Mansfield Street. 4:44 p.m.

A domestic dispute was mediated in the Pinewood Court area. 6:27 p.m.

A report of a juvenile being assaulted by an adult in the 1600 block of East Southern Avenue was investigated. 8:47 p.m.
