Woman flown to Columbus after Scioto Trails crash

CHILLICOTHE - A 67-year-old local woman is in a Columbus hospital after she had to be cut from her car after a Sunday single-vehicle crash.

Fredalene M. Duffy, 67 of Chillicothe, was flown to Riverside Methodist Hospital after the 1:30 p.m. crash on a trail in Scioto Trails State Park.

According to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Duffy’s Buick Lucerne was driving northeast on the trail when it went off the left side of the road and struck a ditch, then bounced back across the road and struck another ditch and a tree.

Duffy was trapped in the car and had to be removed through mechanical means by the Franklin Township Fire Department. She was flown to Riverside by Air Evac.
